Figure of a corporal of the transmissions corps along the Campaign of Africa in the year 1922 in campaign uniform. We recreate the figure used the called “flags telegraph” , what make possible a significant work of transmissions along the pacification of the the territories lost in the Annual Disaster in 1921.
Endowed of a notorious plasticity, this corporal of the 1º Telegraphs Regiment reflect the dreadful effort what developed this units in the North of Africa. How was usual this corporal had placed a handkerchief down his round cap for to attain a little more of shadow.
In the period contained from the operations of re-conquest of the Melilla´s General Comandery after the Annual Disaster (21 July 1921) and the pacification of the territory in 1927 after the operations of the Alhucemas landings (8 September 1925), the regiment send eight expeditionary companies to the North Africa, what suffer a total of fifty-eight deaths, forty-six of then in combat, of this total: two officers, seven NCO´S and forty-nine of troopers.
