Originally the Military Academy was closed in the year 1893, passed away the differents branches and corps to be formed in his respective academies. Today the General Military Academy of Zaragoza formed all students, knights cadets, which will be the future officers of the Spanish Army.
The General Military Academy is the centre of high formation of the Spanish Army. Is located in the outside of the city of Zaragoza and are in charge of the initial formation of all officers of the differents branches and corps of the Spanish Army and the officers of the Civil Guard.
In his beginnings the Military Academy was created in 1882, by edict of 20 February, under the kingdom of Alfonso XII and located in Toledo in the Alcázar fortress. Was his first director the general D. José Galbis Abella.
