Figure of Royal Guard Yeoman whit high dress inside of Royal palace. The uniform is dated from August of 1875 whit the only variations in his buttons what are of the King Juan Carlos I.
The yeoman have the mission of watch the inside of the palace and give solemn vigilance to the royal tribune in determinate acts. The yeomanry section was in his origin a creation of the King Fernando el Católico after the death of the Queen Isabel I and in response of a differents outrages what was happen in Valladolid and Barcelona.
For this in 1504 the king ordered the creation of a “Yeomanry Watch” what in his beginnings dress in the swiss style “whit jackets half reds half whites” and were armed whit a swiss weapon, the halberd, swiss infantry have battled against the moors in the conquest of Granada armed whit this revolutionary weapon, the halberd, and the spanish armies adopted him. From this date the unit are watch the person of the spanish royals except for the two republican periods.
